WHO ARE WE?
The Jackson Council PTA serves as the official liaison between the National/MSPTA and all units of Jackson Public Schools. The JCPTA works to ensure that all units are in compliance with national/state policies and procedures for operating within a school district, provides training and program support for the academic success of students and provides students, parents and teachers the skills needed to be better advocates for every child.
Training
The JCPTA offers bi-monthly PTA training for all units during the summer and fall months. During the spring months, when the Legislature is in session, our focus is on advocacy training.

ADVOCACY TRAINING
I Am PTA!
Youth from all seven JPS High Schools are afforded the opportunity to be the voice of youth justice for themselves and their classmates through the JCPTA Ambassadors program. During the 2016-17 school year, JCPTA Ambassadors participated in PTA Day at the Capitol, Advocacy Training and the first ever City of Jackson Youth Mayoral Forum.
